Bare Knuckle Rye Whiskey is approachable, bold, and versatile, with just a hint of sweetness that makes it a perfect choice for craft cocktails or served neat. It’s fragrant and aromatic with hints of baking spices, mint, and rich caramel on the nose. Notes of baking spices, herbs, and vanilla compliment it’s distinctive, balanced pepper character that lingers on the finish. This whiskey is made from 100% Virginia-grown rye grain. Before we bottle our craft whiskeys, we typically proof them down to 90 or 45% ABV. However, we leave this single barrel whiskey at the proof it came out of the barrel at; this typically is in the 120-125 range, or about 60% ABV. You can sip it neat, use it in cocktails, or add an ice cube depending on your preferences.
